Planning your investment in an automatic car wash

Start with the equipment, site preparation and the cost of running the car wash after it opens.

Washbot helps you choose the model and configuration, then prepares a quote for your site.

Initial and running costs

Your initial budget covers the machine, bay preparation, power and water supplies, drainage, installation and commissioning. Allow for cleaning products, water, electricity, preventive maintenance and routine upkeep once the car wash opens.

First factor: model and equipment

Choose a model with the pressure levels, cleaning products, drying and additional features you need for the services you plan to offer. The equipment is a major part of your initial investment.

Choose side dryers, an extra crossbeam and other optional equipment to suit the model and site. Your quote will set out the exact configuration.

Match each model's features to the services you plan to offer. Consider product refills and daily checks when choosing your equipment.

Second factor: bay dimensions and preparation

The bay dimensions depend on the model and equipment. Side dryers and an extra crossbeam change the space required.

These dimensions are a guide for planning. We confirm the final installation requirements at the site survey, based on the model, equipment and site structure.

If you have not built the bay yet, include the installation requirements in the plans.

Third factor: power, water and drainage

The machine requires a three-phase 380 V supply. The connected load depends on the model and configuration and is confirmed at the site survey.

We confirm the water supply, tank and drainage requirements at the site survey, based on your site.

During the site survey, we check the existing utilities and identify the work needed before installation.

Fourth factor: installation, commissioning and training

Installation and commissioning take 1–3 weeks after the site is prepared.

Washbot assembles, connects and sets up the machine. We commission it and train your staff to use it. You and your designer prepare the bay and the required utilities.

Fifth factor: programmes, cleaning products and running costs

The cost of each wash covers water, electricity and cleaning products. According to the manufacturer's brochure, CL100 and CL200 use 60–100 litres of water per cycle; CL300, CL500, CL600 and CL800 use 90–140 litres. Electricity use per cycle is 0.3–0.4 kWh for CL100, 0.3–1.2 kWh for CL200, and 0.5–1.2 kWh for CL300, CL500, CL600 and CL800.

Calculate the cost per wash using your water and electricity tariffs, cleaning product prices and consumption for the chosen programme.

Add site upkeep, routine checks and preventive maintenance to your operating budget as separate costs.

Sixth factor: maintenance, warranty and spare parts

Preventive maintenance follows the manufacturer's schedule.

A trained member of your site staff carries out routine checks and cleaning. A Washbot technician handles periodic technical maintenance and repairs.

The warranty covers the whole machine: 1 year for CL100, CL200 and CL300, and 3 years for CL500, CL600 and CL800. Review the warranty terms in your quote when planning your budget.

We keep spare parts in stock in Bulgaria. If a rarer or major component is needed, Washbot arranges its delivery and the repair.

Seventh factor: location, traffic and customer pricing

Assess access to the site, passing traffic, competition and seasonal demand. Decide what to charge customers for the programmes you plan to offer.

Use this information to assess your income and costs. Washbot provides the machine's technical data and a quote for its equipment and services.
