Frequently asked questions

Find answers about choosing a model, preparing your site and using the machine. Contact Washbot to discuss a specific configuration.

How the machine works

What does "automatic touchless car wash" mean?
The machine washes the car with pressurised water and cleaning products according to the selected programme, without brushes. The car stays in the wash bay while the arm moves around it. Pressure levels, cleaning products and drying depend on the model.
Does the machine use brushes?
No. Pressurised water and cleaning products wash the car without brushes. The nozzles move around the bodywork without touching it. Results depend on the programme, cleaning products and how dirty the car is.
Does a member of staff need to be there during the wash?
The machine runs the wash automatically. A trained member of site staff handles routine checks, cleaning and product refills. A Washbot technician carries out periodic technical maintenance and repairs.

The models

What is the difference between the models?
The models differ in pressure levels, the number of cleaning products, drying and additional features. CL100 and CL200 use low pressure; CL300 uses low and high pressure; CL500, CL600 and CL800 use low, medium and high pressure. CL100 uses one cleaning product, CL200 uses two, CL300 uses three, and CL500, CL600 and CL800 each use five. The comparison table also shows features for washing the chassis, wheel rims and areas around the mirrors.
Which model suits my site?
Your choice depends on the dimensions and condition of the wash bay, the services you want to offer and your budget. Send us your site details so we can discuss suitable models and equipment.

Consumption and technical data

How long does a programme take?
According to the manufacturer, CL100 programmes take 3–5 minutes. Programmes on CL200, CL300, CL500, CL600 and CL800 take 3–8 minutes. The time depends on the selected programme and its stages. Allow additional time for entering the bay, choosing a programme and driving out.
How much water and electricity does the machine use?
According to the manufacturer, CL100 and CL200 use 60–100 litres of water per cycle; CL300, CL500, CL600 and CL800 use 90–140 litres. Electricity use per cycle is 0.3–0.4 kWh for CL100, 0.3–1.2 kWh for CL200 and 0.5–1.2 kWh for the other four models. Actual consumption depends on the programme, settings and how dirty the car is.
What electrical supply is needed?
The machine requires a three-phase 380 V supply. The connected load depends on the model and configuration and is confirmed at the site survey.

The site and the installation

What dimensions does the bay need?
The dimensions depend on the model and equipment. Side dryers and an additional crossbeam change the space required. See the tables on the Site requirements and installation page. We confirm the final dimensions at the site survey.
Can we start if the bay has not been built?
Yes. We can discuss models and planned dimensions before construction begins, so the equipment requirements can be included in your design.
How long do installation and commissioning take?
Installation and commissioning take 1–3 weeks after the site is prepared. Plan separate time for preparing the wash bay.
Are permits needed?
The permits you need depend on the property and project. Before construction begins, confirm them with your designer and the relevant authorities.

Quote, warranty and service

What does the machine cost?
We prepare an individual quote based on your chosen model, configuration and site conditions. Send us the basic site details so we can discuss your project.
What is the warranty?
The warranty covers the whole machine: 1 year for CL100, CL200 and CL300, and 3 years for CL500, CL600 and CL800. Your individual quote includes the full warranty terms. The service page explains the cover for confirmed manufacturing defects and the diagnostics process.
What happens if there is a technical problem?
If you have a technical problem, we respond and start remote diagnostics within the same working day. If a technician needs to visit, we confirm the timing after diagnostics, based on the site location and the parts needed.
Are there spare parts in Bulgaria?
Yes. We keep spare parts in stock in Bulgaria. If the required component is not in stock, Washbot arranges delivery and repairs and confirms the timing for your case.
How is maintenance done?
Preventive maintenance follows the manufacturer's schedule. A trained member of site staff handles routine checks and cleaning. A Washbot technician carries out periodic technical maintenance and repairs.
Does the machine work through the winter?
Every machine supplied by Washbot includes a winter protection system. It allows water and cleaning products to be drained from the pipework when there is a risk of freezing. The system is included at no extra charge. Follow the winter operating instructions when using it.
