Site requirements and installation

To install an automatic car wash, you need a suitable wash bay with power, water supply and drainage. The exact requirements depend on the model and equipment you choose.

Include the installation requirements in your site plans. If you already have a wash bay, we will check its dimensions and any changes needed during the site survey.

Plan your wash bay before construction

You can request a quote before the wash bay is built. We need to know where your site will be and what you want to offer.

Send the dimensions from your plans if you have them. If you do not have drawings yet, we can discuss the models and the space they need for installation.

Installation dimensions by model

Dimensions are in metres, in the order length × width × height. Use the table for your model and equipment configuration.

How to use the tables

Standard installation
The space needed for standard installation of your chosen configuration.
Minimum installation space
The smallest space the manufacturer specifies for this configuration.
With and without side dryers
Side dryers require a different wash bay width. Compare the rows for the configuration you are considering.
With and without an additional crossbeam
An additional crossbeam changes the installation dimensions. Use the column for your chosen configuration.

If you cannot find the configuration you need, contact Washbot to confirm its requirements.

Maximum vehicle dimensions

CL100, CL200, CL300, CL600 and CL800 accept vehicles up to 5.60 × 2.60 × 2.00 m (length × width × height). For CL500, confirm the requirements with Washbot.

Electrical supply

The machine requires a three-phase 380 V supply. The connected load depends on the model and configuration and is confirmed at the site survey.

Water and drainage

We confirm the water supply, tank and drainage requirements at the site survey, based on your site.

How the drive system works

The structure consists of connected beams. The motor and drive mechanism are inside the machine, which moves along a guide belt. There is no drive mechanism in the wash bay floor.

Responsibilities

Washbot
We help you choose a configuration, then deliver and install the machine. We connect and set up the equipment, commission it and train your staff to use it.
The investor and the designer
You and your designer prepare the wash bay and utilities to the agreed design, including building work, power supply, water supply and drainage.

From site survey to commissioning

  • Site survey to check dimensions, power supply, water supply and drainage.
  • Confirmation of the configuration and the installation layout.
  • Site preparation by the investor to the agreed design.
  • Delivery to site and assembly of the machine.
  • Connection to power, water and drainage.
  • Programme setup and testing.
  • Commissioning and staff training.

Installation and commissioning time

Installation and commissioning take 1–3 weeks after the site is prepared.

Plan separate time for the building work and utilities needed to prepare the site.

Permits

Before construction starts, check with your designer and the relevant authorities which permits you need for the property and project.

Next step

Send us the wash bay dimensions if you know them. If you are at an early planning stage, describe the location and type of site so we can discuss the requirements.
